Creating an Online Presence
I have worked diligently to improve and maintain Inxeption's online presence. My largest initiatives as Lead Designer have been better presentation of Inxeption's products and a full redesign of the home page.
Audience and SEO Analysis
Marketing research showed that the customers were straight-foward industrial business owners, and SEO analysis showed that they weren't finding the information they needed. I proposed a simple design with only the highest priority information above the fold.
Design AND Development
Not only have I designed the look and feel of the new product pages, I have also performed a majority of the development. I built a robust HTML and CSS template that is easy to duplicate and can withstand the large amount of content needed to appease the SEO requirements.
Pushing for Process
When given time I created detailed design specs for the junior developer to follow. My strong knowledge of CSS helps greatly in creating specs, as I am able to write out exactly what styles and variables to use for each element.
Development, deployment, and reception
Our first major project, creating a series of pages for the myriad of services Inxeption offered, saw a dramatic improvement in our SEO and analytics. Even better, when new services were added it was a simple task for our junior web developer to take create new pages using the existing template. Unfortunately the homepage design was not implemented before the pandemic caused a considerable shift in company priorities, but it was well received throughout the design process.
